BBC Sport reports Liverpool are watching Kees Smit, Tottenham lead the race for Arthur Dias and Monaco plan to sell Balogun in January.
The transfer market is generating fresh buzz on multiple fronts, according to BBC Sport. One of the main names being followed is Netherlands midfielder Kees Smit (rated at £51.5m), with Liverpool keeping an eye on him after AZ Alkmaar played Sunderland in the Europa League.
Multiple races underway
Alongside the Reds, the piece says clubs including Chelsea, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa are also monitoring the 20-year-old.
At the same time, BBC Sport points to Tottenham leading the chase for Brazil defender Arthur Dias, a 19-year-old from Athletico Paranaense valued at €30m. Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Brentford are also said to be watching him.
January exits and maybes
Monaco, meanwhile, have reportedly confirmed plans to sell United States striker Folarin Balogun in January. BBC Sport adds that the 25-year-old changed his mind about a move to Everton on deadline day.
