Loïs Openda injured with Lyon and forced off at Lens
He was subbed on the hour after a clash left him unable to plant his right leg; Keito Nakamura replaced him.
Loïs Openda, Lyon’s striker, was forced off at the hour mark in Lens-Lyon and couldn’t continue after an issue to his right leg, according to L’Équipe. The Belgian returned to Bollaert this Friday, where he had shone in 2022-2023, but his night was cut short.
He was taken down by Ismaël Ganiou at the 58th minute. Openda got up briefly, then collapsed seconds later holding the lower part of his right leg. He ultimately left the pitch unable to put weight on his foot.
Replacement at 60 minutes
Keito Nakamura replaced him in the 60th minute to take over up front while the medical staff assessed Openda.
