Lorient edge Monaco in a dull game as Sylla sets up the win

Lorient beat Monaco 1-0 on Sunday in a low-tempo game decided by an action from Dembo Sylla. He won a penalty that led to the Merlus’ goal and all three points.

As L'Équipe reports, the rest of Monaco’s work didn’t generate enough danger. Matthis Abline’s performance captured the visitors’ offensive inefficiency, and it also delivered Monaco’s first defeat of the season.
