LOSC buys control of the Stade Pierre-Mauroy operations from Eiffage
After settling €24m in rent arrears, LOSC will take over stadium operations from Eiffage in at least four months.
LOSC has cleared €24m in rent arrears with the Lille metro authority and is set to purchase the operating rights of the Stade Pierre-Mauroy from construction group Eiffage, not before four months.
The change ties in with this Friday’s meeting of the Métropole Européenne de Lille (MEL), where point 4 on the agenda concerns LOSC and the Decathlon Arena at Pierre-Mauroy. The metro authority is expected to formalize the deal reached with the “Dogues” over repayment of several years of unpaid Grand Stade rent.
As L’Équipe reports, the €24m bill—excluding interest—has been the subject of a dispute before the Lille Administrative Court, while stadium operations are now being restructured with Eiffage.
