Lucien Agoumé: Sevilla’s ‘Fofana called me’ twist he didn’t believe

In an interview on Radio MARCA Sevilla, Agoumé talked about the team’s start, fan support, and Fofana’s surprise signing call.

Lucien Agoumé, Sevilla’s midfield player, said on Radio MARCA Sevilla that teammate Bafodé Fofana called him to tell him he had signed for the club — and that he “didn’t believe it”. The Frenchman linked it to the club’s strong start, adding that the coach asks him to compete “until the end” regardless of the opponent.

Agoumé pointed to the home crowd, saying this year supporters “are with us in every match” and that it helps the team keep pushing right up to the final whistle. He also credited the way they’ve turned games around: they’ve done it “two or three times”.

On new arrivals, he noted that those who’ve been there longer try to integrate newcomers quickly so they feel comfortable. He praised Fofana’s value and said he’s not looking at the transfer talk: “All I’m interested in is playing my football.”
