Luis Castro rules out Eyong and Sotelo vs Sevilla

Levante coach Luis Castro said he didn’t like the international break, adding that “in competitive terms we would have liked it not to be so long.” He also confirmed that Etta Eyong and Hugo Sotelo will miss the match against Sevilla: “Hugo is not there and Etta, neither.” Castro specified that Sotelo can’t be ready, while Eyong began training yesterday with warm-up work without problems and today only started “the beginning of the session,” though “he’s close to being able to come.”

The Portuguese coach did point to the positive side: the time has helped them recover players who were carrying knocks. He emphasized the plan during the break—“training with quality” and sessions aimed at keeping the squad motivated—plus individual detail work.

Castro also addressed the club’s options at centre-back, saying that if they need one, it would come from the academy side. On Sevilla, he warned they’re “among the most aggressive,” comfortable away, and “still unbeaten outside,” calling it “a tough match.” Source: MARCA.
