Luis Castro: “We didn’t deserve to leave Riazor with a defeat”
The Levante boss assessed the 1-1 at Riazor vs Deportivo and stressed the need to tighten up defense and pressure.
Levante coach Luis Castro broke down the team’s 1-1 draw against Deportivo La Coruña at Riazor, insisting “we didn’t deserve to leave Riazor with a defeat.” He said their approach worked: they won duels in the air, played with personality, kept control, and “took a step forward.”
Castro acknowledged mistakes they “can’t afford,” but pointed out they improved in defense and limited Deportivo’s attacking service. He also argued the result was fair given the chances created by both sides.
On the goal, he said it came from one of the few moments they were wrong in their pressing, and he warned about Yeremay’s threat if you leave him space. “I’m taking positives… players who are growing,” he added.
