Luis Enrique fears it after 0-3: PSG rally to beat Man City 2-4

PSG coach admits “many problems” despite leading 0-3 at the break, warning how City’s second-half reaction nearly cost them.

PSG coach Luis Enrique admitted he “trembled” despite the 0-3 at half-time in his team’s Champions League win at Manchester City (2-4). The Spanish manager praised how PSG handled the home side’s pressure before the break, but warned that City’s response after the interval could have swung the game.

Speaking in his press conference, Luis Enrique said the match was “Ça a été un match passionnant” and highlighted that he didn’t like going into the break with such a gap: “je n'aime pas arriver à la mi-temps avec une telle différence (0-3)”. He explained that the opponent loses the match at that moment and takes many risks managing the situation.

Luis Enrique also claimed the balance of luck evened out, noting a conversation with Rafael Pol about earlier Ligue 1 luck: “On a eu toute la chance… Aujourd'hui, ça s'est équilibré”. After City’s sustained second-half attacks, PSG still found a fourth goal through Maghnes Akliouche, while Ferran Torres missed a penalty.
