Lyon visits 1899 Hoffenheim: Thursday 22 at 21:00 on Canal+

1899 Hoffenheim take on Olympique Lyonnais this Thursday 22 October at 21:00 at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena, with matchday three of the Europa League live and exclusively on Canal+, according to RMC Sport.

Lyon head to Germany after beating Crystal Palace 3-2, but they arrive with a setback: Loïs Openda is injured. The coach has reshaped the lineup, giving Khalis Merah a role as a false nine, a bet that paid off in the build-up, even if the youngster didn’t find the net.

For Hoffenheim, the last European outing ended in a 3-2 loss to Beşiktaş, showing they can be dangerous even when trailing. Goals by Fisnik Asllani (68') and Koki Machida (88') weren’t enough, and the defensive gaps they showed are exactly what Lyon will look to exploit.
