Málaga and El Palo FC: framework deal for their academy network pending signature
Málaga is expanding its youth network with El Palo FC; the deal is practically closed and only needs signing in the next few days.
Málaga CF is adding El Palo FC to its network of partner clubs: according to MARCA, the provincial framework agreement is practically done and only the signature is left in the coming days. Until now, the San Ignacio side had stayed out of the project.
Carlos Dávila, manager of La Academia, said on Radio MARCA Málaga this week that El Palo and Mijas Las Lagunas have given the green light and that “we are simply waiting to sign the agreement these next few days.”
The move also comes with Mijas Las Lagunas’ milestone: they debuted this season in Group IV of Segunda RFEF and recently earned their first league win after beating Tamaraceite 6-2. El Palo’s draw is its historical weight as a talent source, with at least 13 players from the area reaching LaLiga/Segunda.
