Málaga: Aznou and Fernando Calero debut as all summer signings get minutes

Málaga have now used all of their summer signings in competitive action: Aznou and Fernando Calero made their debuts in the match against Espanyol. MARCA reports that the coaching staff has already “spent” the new faces, and minutes are showing clear differences.

In the playing-time ranking, Pablo Martínez tops the list with 389 minutes across six games, debuting at the Santiago Bernabéu. Salinas follows with 360, while Juan Cruz has just crossed 100. Berrocal sits on 92 minutes.

Injuries have limited the continuity some were chasing: Calero has played 74 minutes and Aznou 28, both after their debut versus Espanyol. Cajuste ends the table with only four minutes against Levante more than a month ago, although this Monday he did a full training session with the group.

With all signings already introduced, Málaga look ahead with many questions to solve. They have four points in eight rounds, all from draws, and they’re last in the table. Even so, salvation is only two points away after Sevilla and Levante drew 3-3.
