Málaga train without recovering injured players ahead of Getafe
Málaga’s session in the La Rosaleda annex turned into a comeback plan, but Funes faces doubts: Cajuste, Aznou, Murillo, Ochoa and Lobete remain unavailable.
Málaga CF returned to training on Friday in the La Rosaleda annex just hours after their first defeat of the season, a 1-3 loss to Villarreal. The session was split: recovery work for those who played the most minutes, while the rest trained at full intensity.
48 hours to Getafe
With less than 48 hours until the Sunday match at the Coliseum against Getafe, Sport reports that Funes is unlikely to get any of the injured players back in time.
Injured players still out
- Cajuste and Aznou trained separately to manage their injuries.
- Murillo, Ochoa and Lobete remain sidelined with long-term issues and also worked apart.
- Fernando Calero is the one progressing most: he’s already back to regular sessions and is getting closer to returning.
Málaga have just one more training session before travelling to Getafe this Saturday, and the aim is to finally win at home this season against a rival currently struggling near the bottom—only two points ahead of Funes’ side.
