Mallorca beat Sanse in Zubieta thanks to Adrián Fuentes’ goal

The Sanse kept dropping points at Zubieta as they were edged out by Mallorca, who punished the home side’s lack of finish. Mundo Deportivo reports that the hosts controlled large stretches—especially before halftime—creating plenty of chances and repeatedly threatening Tenas’s goal.

Control without a payoff

In the first 45 minutes, the gameplan belonged to Sanse. Dani Díaz carried the attacking charge, with Carbonell also standing out, and the full-backs contributing at both ends. Astiazarán was another constant threat before the break, testing the defense several times (including an effort that came close to the post). Despite the pressure, the scoreboard stayed level.

Fuentes settles it late

After the break, the match slowed down and Mallorca regained territory. Changes from both benches affected the flow, but Mundo Deportivo highlights that it was Adrián Fuentes who finally made the difference. In the 81st minute, he broke into the area from the front, slipped between defenders (Lebarbier and Kita) and finished with a fierce left-footed shot that Fraga couldn’t stop.

Once the goal went in, Sanse struggled to attack with the same intensity and the physical drop-off became clear around the hour mark. Mundo Deportivo concludes that, even though the hosts probably deserved more, they couldn’t turn their first-half dominance into goals—and they remain winless at home.
