Manchester City must complete its appeal against the Premier League’s decision declaring the club guilty of financial irregularities before Christmas. Under the competition’s rules, any appeal has to be completed within twelve weeks of being filed.
The appeal must be submitted by this Friday and the club has already confirmed it will appeal, both via a statement and through comments from chief executive Ferrán Soriano. Once the twelve weeks have passed, the appeal hearing can only run for five days.
After that, the Premier League’s independent commission has thirty days to reach a decision, according to the regulations.
