Manchester City: knew verdict in summer and faces possible expulsion

Manchester City learned in the summer that it had been found guilty of more than 100 breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules, according to ESPN. The outlet also reports that this summer’s deal for Elliot Anderson was agreed before the club had knowledge of the independent panel’s verdict.
The Telegraph goes further, saying City could be expelled from the Premier League following the near-£1billion cheating scandal related to serious violations of the league’s financial rules.
