Manuel Neuer could be his last: Bayern already checks Musso
Bayern is planning a future in goal with Jonas Urbig and a shortlist that includes Juan Musso, under contract until 2028.
Manuel Neuer, 40, is potentially facing his last season with Bayern Munich, with the club already planning a change in goal for next campaign. As Mundo Deportivo reports, the idea is for Jonas Urbig (23, international) to remain the No. 1, but with competition.
Shortlist for goal
Bayern’s list of options—should Neuer’s departure be confirmed—includes Juan Musso. The Atlético Madrid keeper is tied to a deal until 2028 and, despite being behind Jan Oblak at the Metropolitano, he’s currently comfortable in the Spanish capital.
Champions meeting ahead
The Bavarians will visit the Metropolitano next month for the fourth matchday of the Champions League league phase. If nothing unexpected happens, Oblak should be between the posts for Atlético, while Neuer’s situation continues to be the main talking point.
