Marc Bernal renews with Barcelona until 2031, just waiting on signing
The deal is agreed with a €500m release clause and the parties could put pen to paper this week, per Mundo Deportivo.
Marc Bernal of FC Barcelona has a renewal deal agreed through 2031, with a €500m release clause; all that remains is signing the paperwork and issuing the announcement. The two sides are now lining up the best date, which could be this week, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The expected moment would come between this week’s matches: Tuesday vs Galatasaray and Saturday against Real Betis. The ceremony is set to be held in President Joan Laporta’s office, with the sports vice-president Rafa Yuste, as well as the sporting leadership including Deco and Bojan Krkic.
The talks moved quickly thanks to the parties’ good willingness. After a serious knee injury, in September 2025 the club had already extended his contract to 2029. Bernal returned after 383 days out and came back on 14 September 2025. Last season he played 33 official matches for 1,313 minutes, and this term he has featured in nine games for 338 minutes.
