Mariona Caldentey ruled out: Natalia Ramos called up by Spain
Natalia Ramos gets her first Spain call-up to replace Mariona Caldentey for friendlies vs the USA on Oct 10 and Oct 14.
Mariona Caldentey won’t join Spain’s women’s team camp starting on 5 October at the RFEF headquarters due to some physical issues. Her spot goes to Natalia Ramos, the Liverpool midfielder, who receives her first call-up with the senior squad.
As Mundo Deportivo reports, Sonia Bermúdez has turned to Ramos to cover the absence ahead of two friendlies against the USA. The first match is on 10 October in Washington and the second on 14 October in Philadelphia.
The fixtures are part of the build-up for Bermúdez’s plan heading towards the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
