Matarazzo dips into Sanse: up to eight calls before Athletic
Ahead of Sunday’s Granada match, the Sanse could be short: Unai Ayo returns from injury as eight players train with the first team.
Pellegrino Matarazzo has called up to eight Sanse players into Real Sociedad training, with the Friday trip to Athletic Club in mind, even as Sunday brings LaLiga Hypermotion against Granada at Zubieta. The group includes the usual Luken Beitia and Álex Marchal.
The session also featured the main boost of the day: Unai Ayo, a right-sided centre-back returning from injury, who trained with the first team for the first time. Alongside him, Aitor Fraga, Iñaki Rupérez, Kazunari Kita, Unax Ayo, Alex Lebarbier, Ibai Aguirre, Dani Díaz and Gorka Carrera joined the work.
MARCA reports that Jon Ansotegi could be without some of these players until the eve of the Sanse’s Sunday match against Granada at Zubieta, depending on whether Matarazzo keeps drawing from the reserves for the Euskal Herria Txapela final at Anoeta this Friday versus Athletic.
