Max Eberl stands in for Vincent Kompany and explains his absence

Sporting director Max Eberl took charge of the post-match press conference after Vincent Kompany was unavailable. As kicker reports, the Belgian coach is dealing with a health concern and was therefore kept at rest.

Eberl was the one to address the situation right after the game, explaining why Kompany was missing from the media session. The post-match talk thus revolved around the coach’s condition and the decision to manage his workload.
