Michael Carrick under pressure as Man United face Atleti and Leeds away
Man United have won none of their last six: they play Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday, then travel to Leeds.
Michael Carrick heads into a defining week with Manchester United, with the team failing to win 5 of their last 6 matches. The immediate concern came on Saturday: a 1-1 draw at Tottenham, with Dominic Solanke netting a late equaliser after a red card.
Carrick’s make-or-break stretch
In his latest Sky Sports column, Paul Merson said he’s seen signs that things can improve under Tottenham, but not for Man United. He adds that Carrick is “in trouble” over the next two games.
Champions League trip, then Leeds
On Tuesday night, United face a tough away test against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Then they travel to Leeds United, who had their unbeaten run ended by Arsenal on Saturday.
