Michael Olise sent off in Champions: red for throwing the ball at an opponent
He was shown a red card in the 73rd minute of Bayern-Viking (3-3) and will miss Wednesday’s match vs Arsenal.
Michael Olise was sent off during Bayern-Viking in the Champions League, receiving a red card in the 73rd minute after a heated moment. With the score at 3-2 when he was dismissed, the German side still conceded the equaliser to finish 3-3.
RMC Sport reports that Olise first saw a yellow card for pulling the shirt of Henrik Heggheim. Shortly after, as the referee brandished the warning and a small cluster formed, Olise threw the ball toward the head of Zlatko Topic, leading to a second booking and the expulsion.
The red card means the Frenchman will be suspended for Wednesday’s game against Arsenal (matchday 3, 21:00).
