Míchel Sánchez’s Ajax bounced back from their opening-week loss to Hajduk Split, beating Atalanta 2-0 thanks to Marc ter Stegen, who kept a clean sheet. The Dutch side pressed for much of the match, but struggled to turn control into clear chances before their manager changed the game in the second half.
Two substitutes decide it
The breakthrough came from the bench: in the 87th minute, Tolu Arokodare ended the stalemate to make it 1-0. In stoppage time, 17-year-old Abdellah Ouazane added the second, finishing to make it 2-0 with an assist from Arokodare. Mundo Deportivo
