Mikel Arteta signs new Arsenal deal through June 2030
With his September 2024 contract set to run out next summer, Arteta has extended his Arsenal stay until June 2030.
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, has signed a new long-term contract to extend his spell in charge. As reported by Sky Sports, the Spaniard’s previous deal—signed in September 2024—was due to expire next summer, but he has now committed to the club until June 2030.
Appointed in 2019, Arteta remains the longest-serving manager in England’s top four leagues. During his tenure he has delivered a Premier League title for the first time in 22 years last season, and also guided the Gunners to only their second Champions League final, which they lost on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a club statement, Arteta said: “It’s a privilege to commit my future to the club and to continue to work with exceptional people who want the best for Arsenal.”
