Mikel Oyarzabal rests and is set to start vs Depor with Real Sociedad
Oyarzabal will train just once before visiting Anoeta; Orri Óskarsson is suspended and will miss the Depor match.
Mikel Oyarzabal, Real Sociedad’s captain, did not train this Friday and his route back is a single session to be ready for Sunday’s game against Depor. As MARCA reports, Orri Óskarsson—another international who logged the most minutes during the international break— is suspended and will miss the clash.
With the islander ruled out, the plan for Sunday at Anoeta points to the captain starting under Pellegrino Matarazzo. Oyarzabal returned from Spain after featuring in all eight Real matches before the break, and while he only played two full matches, the staff are looking to manage his minutes and keep him for LaLiga.
The Depor match is the first of a run of five games in 15 days, with Real aiming to climb in both LaLiga and the Europa League standings.
