Naomie Feller recalls Madrid training: “intervals traumatized me”

PSG forward Naomie Feller opened up about her Real Madrid training memories ahead of her Champions League clash.

Naomie Feller, Paris Saint Germain’s new forward, is set to face her former club Real Madrid this Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League (kick-off at 9 pm) and, in an interview with L’Équipe, she looked back at both her best and worst training memories from her time in Madrid.

Memories from training

As L’Équipe reports, some sessions still stick in her mind. In particular, she points to a so-called “fraccionné” (intervals run in parts) that left her shaken rather than improving her confidence. “Le fractionné m’a traumatisée”, she said, describing the workout as something that genuinely affected her.

Champions League return

With the PSG as her present and the Bernabéu atmosphere as a personal reference, Feller’s return adds an extra layer to a match that matters on multiple fronts. It’s not only about playing against a familiar team; it’s also about what those past habits and routines left inside her.

After hearing her own account, the upcoming tie feels even more charged: the Champions League is bringing back old emotions, and this time she wants the story to end differently.
