Nico González to stay with Juventus until 2030 after renewal

Nico González (Juventus) has renewed and extended his contract until June 30, 2030, with the club confirming the deal this Friday. The 28-year-old had started his Juventus stint in summer 2024.

Last season he was on loan at Atlético de Madrid, where there was an option to buy that the Spanish side didn’t trigger due to the price. In Italy, it’s underlined that Simeone wanted him, but the move couldn’t happen.

With Juventus, Nico has played 45 matches and scored seven goals since joining. This season he has already added two goals in five games, figures that helped push the renewal. In its statement, Juventus praised his “imprevisibilidad y soluciones tácticas” for a demanding campaign, pointing to his experience and group leadership, with Spalletti described as central in the decision.
