Nico O’Reilly injured, withdraws from England squad for Nations League
The Manchester City left-back misses England’s last two Nations League games: Croatia and the Czech Republic.
Nico O’Reilly, Manchester City, has withdrawn from the England squad for their final two Nations League matches due to injury. BBC Sport reports that the left-back has returned to club for “further assessment.”
O’Reilly played the full match in England’s 3-2 defeat to Spain, but he missed the Tuesday game, a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic. In his place, Lewis Hall came into the side against the Czech Republic and linked up well on the left with Anthony Gordon.
O’Reilly will now miss the trip to Croatia on Saturday and the return fixture against the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
