Nicolás Larcamón: Sporting reshuffles for Celta Fortuna with up to 8 absences

Nicolás Larcamón, Sporting’s coach, heads into the match against Celta Fortuna at El Molinón (16:15) with up to eight absences, forcing him to rotate after the derby.

The game comes after a difficult week: César Gelabert is out via suspension and Nikita Iosifov is unavailable through injury. On top of that, the latest casualties are tied to medical problems including Nacho Martín (meniscus), Juan Otero (muscle discomfort after a hard knock in the derby) and Mamadou Loum (knee issues).

Sporting also have Ferrari in rehab and Konrad de la Fuente still sidelined with no return date, again due to a knee problem. Hugo Guillamón has trained with the group for three sessions and could make the squad, though the staff believe it might be early.

Given the situation, the plan is to hold the structure: Corredera and Manu Rodríguez are expected to keep their places in the double pivot, Matabuena could get minutes from the reserves, and at fullback positions the options include Gaspar Campos on the left and Sarco on the right. In the attacking midfield, Enol Prendes is in the mix, while the back line could shift to a three-man defence with Cuenca and Duñabeitia, Pablo García on the left wing-back, and a forward duo of Casas and Sarco.
