Nuno Mendes ruled out for Barcelona clash: Digne to mark Lamine Yamal
The PSG full-back is set to miss Tuesday’s Barcelona game (21:00) with a muscle issue, leaving Lucas Digne to handle Lamine Yamal.
Nuno Mendes (PSG) is a near-certain absence for Tuesday’s clash against Barcelona after a muscle injury confirmed by medical tests rules him out, according to Mundo Deportivo (21:00 on Movistar+).
Mendes’ last meeting with Lamine Yamal came at the 2026 World Cup: in Spain’s Round of 16 vs Portugal (1-0), he asked to be substituted in the second half due to exhaustion from Yamal’s intensity. Three months later, the rematch won’t happen.
With Mendes out, Lucas Digne (PSG) takes his spot and will be tasked with stopping the in-form Barça winger. Mendes had also been forced off in the 86th minute at Strasbourg, with the PSG side already having used all five substitutions.
