OL’s Europa League run: Palace at home, Hoffenheim away
After beating Anderlecht 2-1 in the league phase opener, OL’s next Europa League stops are Crystal Palace at home and Hoffenheim a week later, per L'Équipe.
OL got its Europa League league-phase campaign off to a winning start, beating Anderlecht 2-1 on Wednesday night. According to L'Équipe, the run-up now moves quickly into a tough October stretch with back-to-back matches that leave little room to breathe.
Palace at the Groupama
The first test comes at home: on 15 October at 18:45, OL will host Crystal Palace at the Groupama Stadium. As the outlet notes, the game will also mark the return of Pierre Sage to Lyon’s dugout, this time against his former London club.
Just a week later, OL travels to Germany for a date at Hoffenheim. The match is set for 22 October at 21:00. There’s history as well: in the 2024-25 Europa League (league phase) the two sides had already met and finished 2-2.
The rest of the schedule
After these fixtures, OL’s Europa League continues with matches against Real Sociedad, Lilleström, Union Saint-Gilloise, Jagiellonia and Bayer Leverkusen, setting up a demanding run of games across the competition.
