Olatz Rivera and Marta Huerta referee two LaLiga 2 matches
This Saturday, October 10, two of the three Segunda games will be officiated by women: Ceuta-Sabadell and Eldense-Córdoba.
This Saturday, October 10, Olatz Rivera will lead Ceuta-Sabadell, while Marta Huerta will referee Eldense-Córdoba—a Segunda round where two of the three matches are set to be directed by women.
Rivera will take charge of her fifth game in the division, as this season marks her debut in Segunda. Huerta has more Hypermotion experience: the Palencia native, registered with the Tenerife referees’ association, made history as the first female referee to act as the main official in Spain’s professional men’s football. It happened in the 2024-25 campaign, when she also won the Guruzeta award for best referee.
As MARCA reports, the remaining match on Saturday is Celta Fortuna-Real Sociedad B, officiated by Juan Manuel Gordillo.
