Oliver Glasner and Regis urge a quick verdict in the Man City case
Glasner and Regis warn the Manchester City case could hit Premier League credibility if it drags on.
Sunderland boss Oliver Glasner called for a “quick” verdict in the Manchester City case. He stressed that “the integrity of the league” is the key point, arguing that if fans can’t trust it, they “won’t watch it anymore.”
Regis, another Sunderland manager, added that the relevant authorities need to act “in a timely manner”, otherwise, as he told The Times, “you lose the value of your competition”. The Man City case has therefore sparked debate in the Premier League about how the length of legal proceedings affects fan confidence, according to Fabrizio Romano.
