Oliver Glasner gets breathing room as Nottingham Forest draw 1-1 at Ipswich
Nottingham Forest end a three-game losing streak and climb out of the relegation zone (temporarily) with a 1-1 at Portman Road.
Oliver Glasner, manager of Nottingham Forest, takes a breath after a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town on Friday at Portman Road. The point ends three straight league defeats and leaves the club, at least temporarily, out of the Premier League relegation zone.
The Forest started aggressively and in the seventh minute Christian Walton denied Jair Cunha, saving an acrobatic half-volley. The opener came before the quarter-hour: Daniel Muñoz delivered from the right and Neco Williams swept it first time into the net (13').
Ipswich replied through Julio Enciso and pushed for the leveller. It arrived before the break after a costly pass from Nikola Milenkovic toward Matz Sels: Enciso raced through and finished low into the corner (41'). In the second half, Leif Davis kept Ipswich afloat with key clearances, including one that prevented a goal after Dan Ndoye went through alone. As Mundo Deportivo notes, both sides had late chances to swing it.
