Oliver Glasner taps Chris Wood to fix Nottingham Forest’s scoring
Nottingham Forest have scored just 5 Premier League goals this season, none at home, and Glasner is using Wood to improve chances.
Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner is trying to solve the club’s scoring issue after the team managed just five Premier League goals all season, with none at home. Sky Sports reports that the focus this week has been on finishing.
Forest have been creating plenty: they rank third for shots in the top flight, but are 19th for conversion, finding the net five fewer times than their expected goals.
When it came to advice on how to turn chances into goals, Glasner handed the microphone to Chris Wood. Glasner said Wood was alongside him because he has scored nearly 200 goals in English football and 92 in the Premier League.
Glasner praised Wood’s message: “Never lose your confidence in your ability”, with the idea that there’s always another chance around the corner.
