UEFA fines and disciplinary measures hit Lyon, Hajduk Split and Trabzonspor for fan incidents in Europa League and Conference League matches.
UEFA has announced on Thursday sanctions affecting clubs competing in the Europa League and Conference League due to fan incidents from matches played the previous week, with Olympique de Lyon, Hajduk Split and Trabzonspor among the punished teams.
For Olympique de Lyon, the club receives a €20,000 fine for racist chants by its supporters during their match against Crystal Palace. Hajduk Split are fined €80,000 for pyrotechnics used by their fans during their home game against Ajax in the Conference League, plus an additional €16,000 for blocking several access routes. The most serious penalty is two matches behind closed doors, with the second one suspended.
Finally, Trabzonspor receive a €100,000 fine for pyrotechnic material and pitch invasion during their Conference League clash with KuPS Kuopio. UEFA also bans their supporters from attending the next away match, according to Mundo Deportivo.
