OM hit with North stand closure punishment for PSG incidents
LFP sanctions Marseille with two-match partial closure: vs Le Havre on Oct 25 and Toulouse on Nov 1.
Olympique de Marseille has been sanctioned by the LFP’s disciplinary commission with the North stand closed for the next two Ligue 1 matches for incidents during the Clasico against Paris Saint-Germain on September 20 at the Vélodrome (a 2-1 defeat).
As reported by RMC Sport, the affected area will be behind closed doors for the home game versus Le Havre on Sunday, October 25 (matchday 8) and for the following fixture against Toulouse on Sunday, November 1 (matchday 9).
The decision cites the use of pyrotechnics and “oral expressions”, along with homophobic chants and insults aimed at Ousmane Dembélé inside the stadium.
