Pablo García Montañés named Eldense president, with Rosas and Lafuente staying
Pablo García Montañés takes over as president of Eldense. Marcelo Méndez joins as vice-president as the new set-up is confirmed.
Attorney Pablo García Montañés has been appointed president of Deportivo Eldense, a club recently acquired by Argentine forward Leo Messi. As MARCA reports, the organisation chart released this Monday keeps Mario Rosas as general director and Víctor Lafuente as sporting director.
The new structure also adds Marcelo Méndez Mingot as vice-president, while Fernando Valderrama starts as a board member.
García Montañés, who is secretary at Andbank, will act as the club’s institutional representative and has already attended games from the stands. Day-to-day operations will remain with Rosas. The club’s plan is for Rosas, Lafuente and coach Javi Calleja to be the main public faces in their respective areas, with Alfonso Nebot continuing in Messi’s Family Office.
