Pablo Marín (Real Sociedad) out after red, misses Málaga trip
Sent off vs Deportivo for a penalty on Nsongo, Marín will be unavailable for the Málaga game next Sunday.
Pablo Marín, Real Sociedad full-back, will miss their next league match after being shown a red card vs Deportivo for a penalty call over Nsongo in front of goal. The suspension also rules him out of the trip to Málaga next Sunday, adding to the club’s already messy situation at right-back.
Marín returned after injury trouble and an untimely recurrence. He still made the starting XI to cover the absence of Aramburu and because Héctor Fort wasn’t 100% match-ready, after not being fully fit.
Options for the XI
Sociedad will rest again and then work in evening sessions. The manager’s decision now depends on who is ready:
- Whether Héctor Fort is fully OK.
- Whether Mikel Beitia, who played vs Bournemouth, can go after a setback in the post-match training.
- Or whether the choice becomes Robin Zubeldia, who has also featured there and has just recovered from a month-long injury.
