Pau Cubarsí and Pedri doubts for Hansi Flick vs Getafe

Barcelona return to LaLiga this weekend against Getafe, and Hansi Flick has a major selection question: Pau Cubarsí (270 minutes) and Pedri (207). Both have been dealing with workload from the international window. With a tough run of matches coming before the next break, Flick is reportedly considering starting them from the bench.

Bench due to workload

The idea is to use fresher options. Eric García trained with the group wearing a mask, and Jules Koundé is also on the table to play as a centre-back. García missed his first Spain match after feeling discomfort before the England game at Wembley, while Koundé logged 180 minutes with France.

Gavi is another key piece in the plan: he did not travel with Spain and could step in for Pedri. Flick also has to decide who partners in the attacking midfield—Fermín played 91 minutes with Spain, while Dani Olmo accumulated 220.
