Paulo Dybala ruled out for two more weeks as Roma face Slovan
Dybala’s muscle strain means he’s set to miss Slovan Bratislava, Napoli, Cagliari and Udinese, with a return not yet certain.
Paulo Dybala, of AS Roma, will be out for about two more weeks after a muscle strain kept him sidelined from the start of his latest Champions match against Real Madrid, where he was forced to retire at half-time. Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini said the MRI he had “also showed a small injury, even if it’s minimal”, extending the recovery: “I think it will be a couple of extra weeks.”
As a result, Dybala is expected to miss the games against Slovan Bratislava, Napoli, Cagliari and Udinese. He also sat out the previous league fixture, a 2-0 win over Genoa, due to calf discomfort that led to his substitution before the second half.
His potential return is targeted for the Champions tie on 3 November in England versus Manchester United, though the club will reassess his condition over the coming weeks.
