Paulo Fonseca on Pierre Sage’s return to Groupama Stadium

Lyon take on Crystal Palace at the Groupama Stadium for matchday 2 of the Europa League league phase. Speaking on the eve of the clash, Paulo Fonseca addressed the return of Pierre Sage, the Crystal Palace boss, to the ground where he originally broke through in the spotlight.

As RMC Sport reports, Fonseca said it “is a pleasure to play against him”, framing Sage’s return as a game against a coach who left a mark in his Lyon days. The English side’s coach now steps back into the stadium where his Lyon success made him widely known.
