Paulo Fonseca’s Lyon challenge: never win away after conceding first
Fonseca’s OL have 14 losses and 1 draw when they go behind on the road; this week they face Hoffenheim and Paris.
Paulo Fonseca has a clear challenge on his hands with Lyon: his side still hasn’t won away when they concede first. L'Équipe points out that this has happened 15 times, leaving 1 draw and 14 defeats for the OL.
This week brings the chance to break that pattern. First comes their Europa League trip to Hoffenheim on Thursday at 21:00, and then a game in Paris, where the same “behind early” scenario could return.
