Pedro Porro out about a month with hamstring injury

Tottenham will miss Pedro Porro for around a month due to a hamstring issue, which also rules him out of Spain duty and clouds his return.

Pedro Porro, the right-back for Tottenham Hotspur, is set to miss around a month due to a hamstring injury, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spain international was left out of Luis de la Fuente’s squad for upcoming matches after picking up the problem 20 minutes into Tottenham’s loss to Aston Villa last Saturday.

A return window gets set

That timetable means he will not only miss Spain’s fixtures, but he is also expected to be unavailable for the 10 October match against Manchester United.

Mundo Deportivo adds that his comeback looks “very tough” for 19 October against Coventry City, so the recovery will be the deciding factor.

What it means for Tottenham

In the short term, Tottenham will need to readjust on the right side for several weeks. The note coming from the Spain setup points to the target of being available on 24 October for the game against Chelsea.

For now, it all comes down to how Porro progresses with the hamstring rehabilitation, with Mundo Deportivo placing the key benchmark at roughly a month.
