Pedro Rodríguez renews with Barça Atlètic until 2030

The Blaugrana midfielder had a deal until June and extends his contract with the reserve team through 2030.

Pedro Rodríguez, of Barça Atlètic, has renewed his contract until 2030. As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the 18-year-old was due to see his deal run out next June, and the club has now made the extension official.

Renewal with continuity

The club had been working on the agreement for a while after Rodríguez stood out for Juvenil A last season and made the jump to the reserves this summer. He made his Barça Atlètic debut in 2024, when Albert Sánchez was in charge.

This campaign, he wasn’t called up for the opening match, but he did feature in the next three, coming on from the bench each time. The piece adds that tomorrow, against SD Logroñés, he has chances to start again.

More minutes through injuries

Born in Ogíjares, he joined Barça’s youth setup in 2019. The article highlights that injuries have pushed him into a bigger role, and that he can play both as a defensive midfielder and as an interior.

Barça Atlètic also has absences for Belletti: Pedro Villar will miss out for a couple of months, while Orian Goren and Mirza Catovic are away with their national teams. Ebrima Tunkara has already returned to training with the group and is expected to be included in next week’s squad.
