Premier League players seek lawyers’ advice on potential City compensation

Premier League players and their agents are speaking with lawyers to consider potential compensation claims against Manchester City if the club fails to overturn a guilty verdict after its appeal, according to Sky Sports.

The report adds that several clubs have already instructed legal teams to assess possible litigation if City cannot overturn the guilty decision handed down by an independent commission “this week”.

Bonus payments under scrutiny

The talks involving players and their representatives are understood to relate to missed bonus payments—either from missing out on a title or failing to secure qualification for European competition. A legal expert quoted by Sky Sports also says former managers could have grounds for action over lost earnings.
