PSG and four rivals tied at the top: Ligue 1 after matchday seven
After seven rounds, Lyon, Lille, Paris FC and Monaco match PSG on points: five co-leaders and a top spot that swings with results.
Luis Enrique’s PSG are back on top of Ligue 1 after beating Strasbourg 1-3 on Saturday, but the league remains tightly packed: after seven matchdays, five teams are level at the summit, according to Mundo Deportivo. PSG took first place after Monaco lost to Lorient 1-0, ending their unbeaten run.
Seven games, five co-leaders
Lille could only draw at home against Brest and sit on 14 points. Paris FC kept pace with a late win in stoppage time.
Lyon’s quick turnaround
Lyon finished matchday seven by reversing the score against Nice: they flipped it within four minutes and, despite playing with ten men, won 2-1 to move into first place temporarily thanks to goal difference. Overall, Lyon, PSG, Paris FC, Lille and Monaco have 14 points from the 21 available.
