Rafita debuts for Spain U21: started 70 minutes in 0-13 vs San Marino
Rafita started and played 70 minutes as Spain U21 thrashed San Marino 0-13; qualification is decided on the 6th vs Romania in Ibiza.
Rafita, the Málaga right-back, made his debut for Spain’s U21s this Thursday against San Marino: he started and played 70 minutes in the 0-13 away win.
The youngster was taken off in a comfortable match and was replaced by Arnau Ortiz. He could still get another chance next Tuesday against Romania in Ibiza, depending on the coach’s decision.
Spain U21, coached by David Gordo, produced a historic-feeling display with Carlos Espí (Real Madrid) scoring a repóker. The win leaves the Roja on 24 points, two more than Finland. On the 6th, the match vs Romania can secure direct qualification for next year’s European Championship, and even a draw could be enough if the goal-difference battle goes Spain’s way.
