Ramón Terrats (Getafe) warns: “Barça-Getafe should be a rough ride”
The Getafe midfielder assesses the Barça match after the international break, reflecting on his return, Europe ambitions and a packed month of games.
Ramón Terrats, Getafe’s midfield anchor, faces this Saturday’s Barcelona game and is blunt about the challenge: “For Barça it also has to be a bad moment to play against Getafe,” he says in his MARCA pre-match interview. The Catalan midfielder talked through his return to his former home, pointing to the trust José Bordalás has given him and the “sense of belonging” created by the coach’s demanding approach.
Back with conviction
Terrats says his summer return was never a negotiation: “My only option was to come back here.” He also looks back at his first spell, when Getafe dreamed of Europe, and contrasts it with the present: this season the team is more courageous, wants more of the ball and aims to be more proactive, while defensively Bordalás’ demands are “non-negotiable.”
Break and busy schedule
On the international break, he expects a squad “fresh, especially mentally,” and highlights a tough month ahead. After Barça they play on Thursday, with Barça’s Champions schedule determining the Saturday kick-off. Terrats also breaks down Flick’s Barcelona: they are “very vertical” and punish quickly if possession is lost. Asked about Raphinha, he ends with a simple message—focus on themselves and on delivering their own plan.
