Raphinha, Nico Williams and Starfelt miss LaLiga matches after international break
Out of 14 LaLiga players returning with issues from internationals, only five were ruled out this matchday.
After the international break, the impact on LaLiga looks limited: from 14 league players who came back with physical problems, only five ended up out for this matchday, according to MARCA.
Raphinha (Barcelona) was sidelined with an edema in the back of his right thigh, missing the game vs Getafe and expected back for Betis. Nico Williams (Athletic Club) also missed out due to a moderate injury in the left leg’s rectus anterior, making him a doubt for the next match against Valencia. Starfelt (Celta Vigo) has the longest layoff: a fiber rupture with tendon involvement in the right thigh, keeping him out for a month and a half.
Junior Firpo (Real Betis) will be out about three weeks with a left adductor muscle issue, while Buchanan (Villarreal) missed the trip to the Bernabéu vs Real Madrid due to a small ischium-area rupture.
The rest were available: Mbappé (Real Madrid) and Konaté played the full 90 minutes vs Villarreal, and Eric García and Grimaldo also completed their matches with Barcelona and Atlético.
